Don't Read This Manifesto

Don't go on the Internet. Don't read fiction about James Bond, Julia Roberts, or any adolescent fantasies that fuel our lives. Don't do any of this. Meet new, weird, and exciting people. Talk to them. Search them out. Talk. I realize this is all cliched, so stop. Stop reading this. Go out. Do not watch television. Do not watch movies. In the end, they are all drugs - things that keep your mind occupied. Research. Learn. But don't be placidly entertained until you die. Movies teach us nothing. If any truths are to come, we should seek them out first. Don't listen to music. Don't do anything. If you are interested in the worlds of fiction, write. Otherwise, don't live in the worlds of fiction that movies create. Live, and make a difference in the world, hopefully big enough for someone to remember you.

Such is the philosophy of straight reality I made up as I was washing my hands after going to the bathroom.

P.S. Connor, if you're reading this, I severly dislike you. You were a good bastard to argue with, though. But still..."Imaginary friends?" Go to hell. You know, it's funny, because, as cliched and sentimental as this sounds, you were an imaginary friend. Adios, muchacho. Burn in "the city which has turned from dreams to dreamless sleep as a weary lover whom no caresses move, the sounds of hoofs upon the road."
