Just A Thought

Capitalism invariably leads to harder forms of pornography.

All right, now, it has been said that there are two basic human desires - for sex and survival. Everything we have is based around these. We have art to pick up chicks, we work hard to survive, etc.

Now, capitalism promotes the second desire - it proclaims that it is healthy. Without the desire to not only survive but thrive, capitalism as an economic system. Further more, it encourages to continually delve deeper into our drives - it is not enough to make a million dollars, but to have a billion dollars, etc.

Why shouldn't this endorsement of one basic desire lead to the other? If it is not wrong to want more survival, why isn't it wrong to not want to see more sexual activity?

Just a thought.
